A Lawn Party at John and Philippe’s

John and Phillipe had perfect weather for their annual Labor Day party. We sipped punch, strolled the garden, played scavenger hunts and had an all-around rollicking time. Cheers, Cathy!

(And there’s Eamon behind her!)

As you might remember from parties past, Philipe and John have an incredible garden.

Hi Thomas!

After supper, Philipped organized a scavenger hunt and arts and crafts contest — where you had to first answer questions about the house and grounds, then create a nosegay, necklace and piece of jewelry from plants and other found items in the yard.

He blessed me, Joan, Irene and Thomas’ girlfriend Alex with the title of judges. We took our responsibilites seriously, but it was nice to sit back and enjoy the wine while everyone else ran around the yard in pursuit of a win. And the winner? Turns out: the Burns Family. Congratulations to everyone.

And thanks to Philippe and John — and sorry, no photos of them!
