Mom’s Birthday at Hudson House

Mom knew she couldn’t top last year’s birthday fete. After all, it was indeed an extravaganza. But to mark another trip around the sun, she arranged for us all to go to Hudson House, which had catered her party the previous year. It was kind of like a return to the scene of the crime.

Those were scallops. But some of us got duck. My duck confit:

Peggy’s duck breast:

A little mini surf and turf, with filet mignon and scallops:

The players. Mom and Peggy:

Leigh and Jim:

And Peggy and me!

For dessert, something chocolate:

A cheesecake:

And my favorite, a caramel-banana-caramel thingy:

Happy birthday Mom!
