Christmas Dinner at the Farm 2010: Tamales, Hibiscus Margies, Baba Au Rhum

We didn’t have a morning present exchange this year. Instead, Mom and Leigh went to brunch and the three of us headed to Rockland Lake (for the third day in a row!) for a nice winter walk. We met back at Sour Cherry Farm around 5 for bloody marys, hibiscus margaritas, and a tamale supper.

Recipe for hibiscus margaritas is here.

Mom ordered the tamales from the Texas Tamale Warehouse.

We drank the margies with dinner, rather than wine.

Crazy, I know! But delicious!

Sondra and Leigh are shocked at something:

Greg looks right:

And for dessert? The delicious baba au rhum:

Merry Christmas everybody!
