After Shoveling, a Hot Chocolate

Being off this week, I took over shoveling duties. What was left, that is. Our neighbor was very kind to snowblow us out, and the kids next door did most of the driveway. But there was still show to move. And photos to take. So when I got back inside, I made this nice steaming cup of hot chocolate.

Some “drinking chocolate” from Chocolate Moderne, a lovely artisanal chocolate that I was turned onto at Irene’s party.

I used a 1 1/2 cups milk and a little over 1/4 cup chocolate. Brought it to a boil:

It was a nice, rich chocolate without being so thick you couldn’t drink it.

Perfect warmer-upper after being out in the snow.
