Summer Supper in the Garden

Irene had a chicken and some scapes from Stone Barns. We had coleslaw and leftover potatoes for roasting. Sounds like the making for a good supper? It was indeed.

Isn’t that just the most beautiful bird you’ve ever seen?

Greg smoked it with barely a hint of applewood. It was lovely. Checking the grill:

I roasted the potatoes on high heat with thyme, and Greg grilled the vegetables:

So gorgeous, isn’t it? A little coleslaw, too:

And for dessert? Our blueberries, of course!

Served with ice cream and little cubes of leftover angel food cake, which we toasted in the oven.

And a grand time was had by all!
