Dinner at Dinosaur BBQ

Let’s see: Somewhat near the Cloisters? Delicious food? Kid-friendly? Bingo: Dinosaur BBQ.

That is my lovely combo platter with pulled pork, brisket and ribs along with salt potatoes and an iceberg wedge. Man oh man was that delicious.

Sam had some, too!

Sarah, Sari and Brian, and the kids, after the jump.

Mae was not having any of it.

But Sarah took it in stride:

Sari and Brian:

Jake!

Some delishy fried green tomatoes with shrimp remoulade:

Deviled eggs:

Dig in, everyone!

The 411 on Dinosaur BBQ: Blues, beer and some really good barbecue. John Stage and the gang catered our wedding, and so we’re partial to all things Dino over any other ‘cue in NYC. Pulled pork, brisket, chicken, it’s all delicious. And we love the wings, the fried green tomatoes and the deviled eggs, too. The restaurant looks like an old barn, all dressed up, and it’s big, noisy, fun and, early on, great for the kids. 646 131st St at 12th Avenue under Riverside Drive, Manhattan. 212-694-1777, http://www.dinosaurbarbque.com.
