Pre-theater Dining: Blue Fin in Times Square

If you’ve been to Times Square, you’ve probably walked past this:

Big glass windows that look out onto Broadway. The room is great for people watching, but not very comfortable.

Here’s a little secret. Walk up the stairs and you’ll find this:

A nice quiet bar, perfect for meeting someone for a drink before the theater.

You may even wish to get a platter of oysters, too. Those, and a few more pics, after the jump.

There’s also a big dining room on the ground floor, behind the glass-windowed bar:

And here’s a couple of theater photos, just for fun.

Troy and Boo at Annie:

Boo and Catherine before “The Performers.”

The 411 on Blue Fin: A big glassed-in bar looks out onto Broadway in the heart of Times Square, and that’s great for people watching. But for a quite drink, head upstairs to the quieter, lesser known bar. Food is average, but better than most places in the neighborhood.
