Mother’s Day Supper

For Mother’s Day, we grilled burgers in honor of Grandmom. Toward the end, when she was losing her memory, she famously used to say, “I can’t remember the last time I had a hamburger,” even if that last time was the night before. She loved a hamburger and she loved it well done.

These, too, were well done, but not on purpose. And they were still delicious. We served them with the Lee Bros.’ Skillet Green Beans and oven-baked French fries from a bag.

Strawberries were the bookends. We started with Kentucky Bucks, and Greg made a strawberry crumble for dessert.

Sam joined us for dinner, too, which was fun! lj051114mothers07 lj051114mothers08

And it was nice enough to dine on the patio.  lj051114mothers13 lj051114mothers14
