A wonderful pre-theater discovery thanks to my friend and colleague Karen: Lantern’s Keep, an honest-to-goodness cocktail bar right in the heart of midtown. Greg and I hit it up the evening we saw On the Town. It’s a super-cool place with just a few seats, small plates and bartenders who know what they’re doing. It’s not the quietest spot in the world (especially when it’s full), but it’s fun and cozy, especially in winter. Be sure to make a reservation before you go.
