Sam! You’re four!
Grammy and LeighLo came over to celebrate. We toasted you with Manhattans. We ate pork and polenta. We opened presents.
And you ate dinner at the table with us, sat in a big-girl chair and used big plates and real glass. For the first time. It was glorious. 
Anna got you a cake from Dider Dumas, strawberry-flavored.
And you loved it!
Then we opened presents from all your generous friends and relatives.
(And Leighlo and Daddy watched football.)
From Annie and Bob… a yummy hat and scarf knitted by the sisters at Gramma’s church, plus the annual ornament!
From Jessica and the gang, the Richard Scarry Best Word Book Ever, and Pout Pout Fish!
