New World Bistro Bar in Albany

After a long day on the road working (and a little playing), we celebrated our Destinate accomplishments at the New World Bistro Bar.

Then, off to our dinner at New World. The restaurant is fusion with a capital F. So, I guess, Fusion.

A special pasta:

Meatloaf!

Smoked Gouda-stuffed, bacon-wrapped, maple-glazed meatloaf with smoked hock-bourbon gravy, creamy mashed and Brussels sprouts.

So, here’s the verdict. A lot of good food, but a lot of misses, too. The entire menu is a mess — so big, and so many choice it’s overwhelming. And that’s sort of a good metaphor for the food. But edit, edit, edit and you would have some great food on your hands.

Rice pudding with tropical fruits:

Still busy at nearly 10:30 pm!
