To Paterson, for Tacos, Hamilton and Waterfalls

Since the day I began my new job at The Record this fall, John, a reporter there, has been trying to take Ed and me to lunch at his favorite taco joint in Paterson, and to show us the Great Falls. Today, this finally happened. The tacos were outstanding.

The restaurant, Antojitos Poblanos, is in an old train car. Adorable. And delicious.

Afterwards, a trip to see the Great Falls, the birthplace of industry in America, thanks to this guy, Alexander Hamilton:

Hamilton and William Carlos Williams in one historic place? Bestill my heart.

Paterson was America’s first planned industrial city, and the falls powered the mills that were to be its financial security.

John says that after a big storm, they are spectacular.

Mr. Hamilton.

And it is only a 5 minute drive from the office. I will be here often in nice weather.
