We haven’t been drinking many Aviations lately. But they are an old favorite. This one was particularly delicious. Absences makes the palate grow stronger?
Aviation Cocktail
Makes two drinks.
3 ounces gin
1 ounce maraschino liqueur
1 ounce lemon juice
1 teaspoon creme de violette
Combine all in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a maraschino cherry. Or two.
Cocktail hour often includes some silliness these days.
