Crush Eleven in Cocoa Village

My favorite meal of our Destinate trip to Florida was at Crush Eleven in Cocoa Village. Suzy had primed me for the bacon-bourbon old fashioned, so that was a given:

We shared Medjool Dates with Goat Cheese, Millionaire’s Bacon, Malbec Gastrique:

Frisee salad:

Our gang:

Our main courses:

Duck with Cauliflower Purée and Pickled Blackberries. Heavenly.

Sriracha Marinated Flat Iron Steak with Avocado Smashed Fingerlings. Also delicious.

Local Shrimp with Salsify Grits, Kielbasa, Fresh Horseradish. Another winner.

We ordered sides, too. Like the Fresh Corn Off-The-Cobb with Nueske’s Bacon & Parmesan —

Asparagus Polonaise (Grilled Asparagus, Fines Herbes, Sieved Eggs, Chapelure) — and

Charred Brussels Sprouts with Maple Sherry Vinaigrette:

Fabulous, all.

I even had some of the carrot cake ice cream, which was as satisfying as it was inventive:

None of this guy, though:

Thanks to Suzy and Steve for such a great find!
