A Big Party for Hugh Edward O’Donnell
Hugh — whom SCF readers might remember from his birth annoucement in March — doesn’t get to be the center of attention much, what with two rambuctious older siblings. But on Saturday, it was his Christening, and he was in the spotlight. So was the Farm, a little. We were honored to be his Godparents.
Hugh Turns One!
My godson Hugh turned one on Feb. 28. Kelli says his older siblings liked the cake as much — if not better — than he did.
Welcome, Hugh Edward O'Donnell
This adorable little creature in my arms is Kelli's third child. She had him at 6:31 p.m. Wednesday and he weighed 8 pounds 12 ounces and was 21 inches long.
Happy Birthday Hugh!
Kelli and Patrick had us over to celebrate Hugh’s third birthday. The kids got chicken nuggets and tater tots. We got Rick Bayless’ Chicken with Potatoes and Tomatillos and a nice helping of Rancho Gordo refried beans.
Mmm — Beef! And Go Hoyas! (AKA, a Dinner at Kelli and Patrick’s)
The O’Ds had us over for a delicious dinner of meat and potatoes Friday, and provided us with a lovely evening of March Madness basketball as entertainment.
Spring Dips Its Toe in
The Farm headed to Kelli & Patrick’s for happy hour Friday, and marked the spring season opener with the inaugural use of their patio. (That’s baby Hugh under the blue blankey.)
Easter Dinner at the O'Ds
The third annual Easter at Kelli and Patrick's house was another delicious meal. The menu, some of which was repeated from last year, included a salmon salad with egg and beets, leg of lamb with artichokes and potatoes, roasted asparagus and our favorite lemon-chocolate tart. The kids had ham steak.
Happy Easter!
For the second year in a row, the farm celebrated Easter at the O’Donnells, where Rory and Sarah helped Auntie Boo search for the loot in her first Easter egg hunt. (Guess who went home with all the eggs?)
Supper at Kelli and Patrick's
For the next supper with Sarah, we head to Kelli and Patrick’s for burger and corn on the cob. I love to see a bunch of people ‘round the table, don’t you?
Baking with Kelli and the Kids
After hosting the Small Bites Cookie Swap at work, I still had some baking of my own to do. So Kelli and I got Sarah, Mary Ellen and Hugh together and we made two of the winning recipes.
