More Rain. So We Go Shopping. And Lounge Around.
Sunday at the lake was dreary, but beautiful in a sad sort of way. Down at the dock, I enjoyed watching the fog roll in. Tessa and I did escape for a bit for a bit of shopping in Great Barrington, but mostly, we spent the day lounging, reading and watching football. Well, the hunna was watching football.

The forecast was promising but ultimately disappointing for the last summer weekend at the lake. The next time we go, it will officially be fall. But that didn’t stop us from enjoying. We swam, we skiied, we made Doris’ cucumber salad. And a fine time was had by all.
Sunday Night on the Farm
We took it easy Sunday of Labor Day. Kelli joined us for cocktails on the porch, then we made some burgers and sat out by the fire in the back yard.
The Fourth Annual Eat Local Dinner *UPDATED*
The Fourth Annual Summer Eat Local Dinner was a smashing success. SCF readers may remember previous renditions of the Eat Local Dinner from such posts as The Second Annual Winter Eat Local Dinner and The Third Annual Summer Eat Local Dinner (We skipped the Fourth Annual Winter Eat Local Dinner to accommodate a change of venue.) Our friends Stephanie and Geert hosted this time at their new weekend house in Orange County. Stephanie prepared dishes from her childhood in Provence, including soupe au pistou.
