Hudson House of Nyack

Greg, Sarah and I got the chance to go out for a Friday night supper. Mom was watching Mae, but we brought Jane along to make things a little easier on her. Now this photo is a little blurry, but I decided I have to feature it because it shows such a typical reaction of people when they see my sister’s children. They melt right then and there:

Sarah giggles at the attention:

Here’s Sarah’s cocktail. Another cucumber martini. Good, but not as good as the one we had for lunch at Nougatine!

The hunna, ordering.

First course. Heirloom tomato salad:

Pear with radicchio, endive, walnuts and gorgonzola with blue cheese dressing:

The Bistro Salad, with haricot verts, wax beans, mixed greens, radishes, pea shoots, maple-black pepper bacon and walnut vinaigrette:

Gnocchi with hazelnuts:

Broccoli rabe with sausage:

The pork with mile-high biscuit:

And Matt Hudson’s amazing desserts:

We had a blast, and loved the food, too.
