Saturday Night Supper by the Tree: Aviations, Pasta and Roasted Chestnut Cookies

We had a quiet evening Saturday, enjoying Aviations by the fire — and the newly decorated tree — while I prepared some cookie dough for tomorow’s bake-a-thon over at the Ranch.

While we sat by the fire, I was working on the Smitten Kitchen recipe for the chestnut cookies; they’re much like Russian Tea Cakes, Mexican Wedding Cakes or Sand Tarts, which ever you like to call them. Those photos are over on that post.

Meantime, we put together a pasta supper from Tarry Market. Can’t beat that for easy.
