After a trip to the Chappaqua Farmers Market, we stopped at Le Jardin du Roi, a nearby French bistro, for a cup of coffee. It turned into a little bit of breakfast, too.

Flaky, buttery and chocolatey. Fab.
I got the croque monsieur, which I did not imagine would be so enormous:
It was fine, but I didn’t taste much bechamel. I ate half and we polished off the fries together.
All in all, a lovely diversion. And the coffee was terrific.
