It’s easy to call a cocktail a “blueberry” cocktail, just muddle some blueberries at the bottom and call it a day. That’s what we’ve done here with Capirinhas. I’ve adjusted the caipirinha recipe a bit since I first posted our original, taking the sugar down and the booze up. But that’s what happens as you mature, right?
1/2 lime, cut into 4 wedges
1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons blueberries
3 ounces cachaca
In a lowball glass, muddle the lime wedges, sugar and blueberries until the sugar dissolves. Add cachaca and stir. Fill glass with ice. Stir. Garnish with a few blueberries.
