I’ve heard great things about Dumpling+Noodle, the Chinese restaurant in Bronxville, and so had high hopes for its sister restaurant, Fantasy Cuisine in Hartsdale.
Alas, our visit was mediocre at best. That didn’t stop us from having fun with chopsticks at the table, however.
Fried dumplings. Eh.
Duck buns. Flavorless.
Steamed shu mai. Fine. Nothing special.
Flavorless fried rice.
Thick-skinnned soup dumplings.
A shame, really. Will we ever get good soup dumplings in Westchester? Just a reminder folks, we’re only about half an hour from Flushing: A Food Tour of Flushing.
