Breakfast at Renee’s Diner (And a Farmhouse Prospecting Trip)

I’m not much of a Yelper, but Yelp helped us out on this one. It led us to Renee’s Diner, a cute little cafe with good eggs and pancakes, and a surprise: Southern-style biscuits with sausage gravy. Afterwards, we took a little drive to check out some of the properties we’d been eyeing on Zillow.

But first, breakfast.

All quite good. All you need, really.

And the view.

Afterwards, we drove up to Stamford, Vermont, see a couple of farmhouses and properties we’d been eyeing.

First, was this one on East Road.

We were worried that the road would be busy, but it was practically a country lane.

Then we drove about 10 minutes north to this property with a beautiful view.

Up a winding hill, and it was about 10 degrees cooler up there!

A girl can dream, right?

Then we headed to North Adams, and drove around a bit before heading to Mass MoCA.

Downtown North Adams reminded me a lot of Peekskill. Old mills. A theater in need of restoration. Some cool bars. A good art scene.

And then we headed to the museum.
