Bear Mountain: Carousel and Hot Chocolate

We headed to Bear Mountain in hopes of ice skating. That didn’t happen — not this time, anyway — but we did enjoy a spin on the carousel and lunch at the cafe.lj122616bear01

A little piece of advice, should you head to Bear Mountain the day after Christmas one year. When we arrived at 10:30, there was no line to skate. When we left the property at noon, there was a big, big line. Go early!

The carousel is so beautifully renovated. It features animals from the region, like raccoons, squirrels, and, yes, bears.
