The Crosby in Montclair

The Crosby is a new-ish spot in Montclair — a great spot for drinks, especially considering how few places have liquor licenses in New Jersey.

The space is open and airy, and the cocktail menu was creatively devised (bonus: the drinks are delicious).

Candace and Elyse social their cocktails.

We ordered many, many items.

Mac and cheese with burnt ends:

Tuna poke salad.

Gnudi:

Salad with peppadews, feta and little gem lettuce.

Chicken with arugula.

Korean Bulgogi Fries:

Meatloaf:

Burger:

Ice cream sandwich:

A chocolate dessert that I do not recall.

As you can see from the many and varied items we tried, the menu could use an edit. But if you’re looking for a place to meet for a drink and get a nibble, I say give it a go.

Despite some flaws (dry chicken, spotty service), we enjoyed it.
