A Killer Farro Salad and Other Delicious Lunch Items at Franny’s in Brooklyn

Next stop, after our appetizers at Brooklyn Flea? Lunch, of course! We enjoyed a leisurely lunch in the garden at Franny’s, where we tasted a farro salad with corn, zucchini, almonds, manchego, spring peas and scallions with a lemon vinaigrette. It was to die for. Yes, we plan on copying it.

A bit of news to report, too: Franny’s will be moving soon, to a bigger space. The new restaurant will take reservations, serve lunch every day and have a private dining room. This space will become a new restaurant called Marco’s.

Glad we got to pay our respects to the old location before it’s gone! And yes, Sam had milk.

Laurie and Karen!

Sarah and Sam!

Celery soda:

Delishy. Other drinks:

Pork cheek and beef tongue terrine:

Divine. Laurie said she’d never had a terrine before, so it was a brand new experience for her. Exciting!

Pole beans with pistachios and pantaleo:

Pizza with fresh mozz and meatballs.

And orecchiette with broccoli and sausage.

Another fabulous Franny’s lunch.
