We had a lovely evening in the city Friday, starting with drinks and snacks on the roof at Boo’s, and ending with lots of laughs at El Parador, the classic Mexican restaurant. And yes, we got to meet Craig, center:
So as I mentioned, we started out with snacks on the roof. In case you’ve forgotten the stunning view that comes with such an activity, let me remind you:
We had many different hams:
We knew we were going to hit it off with Craig when Boo left to refill the wine and I tried to bring up sports. The conversation went quickly from baseball to the Cleveland Indians to Cleveland and then morphed even faster into poetry. Poetry, you say? Why yes indeed.
Soon enough, we were on our way to dinner:
The restaurant has been around since 1959, and is a treasure. And the food is terrific. I can’t wait to go back. Not least of all because of this gorgeous room:
So after a short wait, we sat in the corner banquette and ordered a number of plates to share, including a couple of ceviches and a couple of stuffed peppers.
