We visited another garden during the Open Days fundraiser for the Garden Conservancy, and what a special garden. It’s on the crest of the hill above the banks of the Hudson near Piermont, and overlooks the whole valley from its perch. We were quite sad that clouds and fog prevented us from fully taking in the view, but what we saw was spectacular and inspiring.

I loved this detail of a millstone water feature built into the patio:

This feature in the center of a grand lawn was very eye-catching:
And here we have what’s called a folly — a cottage or other structure made to look like ruins:
The roof is completely open.
