Though we would have preferred to share a bottle of rosé around cocktail hour, while people watching and nibbling on French snacks, we had less than 24 hours in Philadelphia, so for our visit to Parc, we had to settle for a quick breakfast.
Maybe settle is the wrong word. It was actually a lovely breakfast. I had the yogurt with fruit and granola.
Boo had a croissant:
Both were delicious. And you know what? We got a little people watching in, too.
The 411 on Parc: One of the many Stephen Starr restaurants in Philly; this one an authentic-looking French brasserie-bistro, from the high ceilings and red leather banquettes right down to the marble tables and weaved chairs lined up to face the street and Rittenhouse Square beyond it. All the classics are on the menu, from oysters and onion soup to omelets and steak frites. 227 South 18th St., Philadelphia. 215-545 2262, parc-restaurant.com
