SCF fans may remember our last trip to the Chattanooga Farmers Market. That was the big one, held on Sundays under a grand pavilion. On Wednesdays, you’ll find many of the same vendors, but no craftspeople. This is a producers-only market, where you can find locally made and locally grown foods. And no pavilion. Sorry.
It was super super hot. You would walk out of the air conditioned car and sweat would immediately drip down your back. Gross.
Even the chickens were too hot.
Despite the heat, there were some beautiful foods at the market. Here’s a look:
The market is held at the corners of Main and Williams streets every Wednesday year round from 4 to 6 p.m. The web site is mainstfarmersmarket.com.
