For our first picnic and concert of the 2012 season, Samantha fared very well indeed. It helps that other people love to take care of her. Thanks Kris!
The menu was simple: chicken (Tom’s was excellent so we didn’t even bother with ours!) and two salads: ours with farro and beets and feta and Kris and Tom’s Radicchio with Blue Cheese from (guess who!) Mindy Fox’s new book. The book of the summer, I guess. The concert was the Orangetown Concert Band, and it was fantastic. Broadway melodies, John Philip Sousa, Americana. Yay! We’ve been hoping they’d come back ever since we saw them in 2009 with Grandmom!
