Since Samantha and Greg were heading to HMart to do a little grocery shopping, we decided to meet for lunch in White Plains. Sam couldn’t stop saying “num num” to the soup dumplings at Noodle+.
We all felt that way about the soup dumplings. They are the best I’ve had in Westhchester.
Unfortunately, we noticed a downhill slip in some of the other dishes. First, when I ordere Samantha’s children’s fried rice, it came with just chicken and egg, even though the menu said it was supposed to come with peas, carrots and scallions. “Most kids don’t like the vegetables,” my waiter said. Well mine does!
The broth in the pork noodle soup was a little lackluster and the pork tasted old.
The shrimp sui mai were also just not as good as they have been in the past.
And this new special, a Thai pancake, was super-greasy.
But we sure did love those soup dumplings! That’ll be our order going forward.
