The best meal — and the best show — of the season! Before Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Irene, Greg, Trae and I headed to db Bistro Moderne for small plates of pork belly risotto and superbly roasted chicken. Nice cocktails, too!
Hemingway Daiquiri:
Something that I can’t remember:
Irene and Trae. (He tried to get a ticket last minute, but alas, it was completely sold out.)
Les dorkages:
The restaurant:
A little amuse to begin, little croquettes:
A special, a potato-wrapped, soft-cooked egg over white asparagus with hollandaise. Yes!
Veal Agnolotti with Kale, Morel Mushrooms, Parmesan:
Slow-Roasted Chicken with Potato Rösti, Hen of the Woods Mushrooms, Roasted Broccoli and Foie Gras Chicken Jus:
Delicious.
Pork Belly Risotto with Mascarpone, Chives, Pork Jus:
Petit fours, including one of my faves, canneles.
What a great dinner. Highly recommended for pre-theater.
