And just like that, it’s Broadway season again. For the first play of the fall — Love Letters — Irene and I head to pre-theater dinner at a small little ramen joint called Kung Fu Little Steamed Buns Ramen in Midtown that got a review in the Times this spring: A Showman Puts Noodles on Display.
We had a few hits, a few misses, but all in all a good meal.
A very simple little room.
I quite liked this “House Special Ramen,” which is not at all a soup, but very good nonethless:
Nice layers of spice like cinnamon and star anise:
This “Cold Sesame” ramen was not as complex. I would skip it next time.
This leek bun didn’t to it for us either.
The soup dumplings, though, were fantastic. The clear winner of the night:
