Kris had opened her latest exhibition at Piermont Strauss gallery in Piermont: Festoonology. It is a collection of her nature-inspired ideas, shaped into objects to explore.
Holding the magnifying glass up to the flowers opened our eyes to see something we never expected: a kaleidoscope of colors and light. Her multi-media piece featured scenes from Cherry Ridge Farm set to a poem she wrote.
The web site describes the show as “A multi-media installation by KRIS BURNS of ephemera, films, festoonery and a gallery of flowers featuring the wildly wonderful flowers of Bluefield Farms.” But as usual with Kris, her art is also a part of herself.
