Porta Napoli in Harrison

I believe you’re all aware of my fondness for Don Antonio’s pizza. The one in midtown. My go-to pre-theater spot. Well that restaurant is indirectly related to the new Porta Napoli, a Neapolitan pizzeria and wine bar that opened in Harrison, about five minutes from my office.

See, one of the owners of Don Antonio is also a partner in Keste, another well-known Neapolitan pizzeria (and incidentally, the inspiration for the lemon pizza I’ve had at o lar, Burrata and The Parlor).

The other partners in Keste? Sandra and Roger Cappucci.

I knew, once I saw the fried pizza on the menu, that there had to be a connection.

The fried pizza was good — tasty. It is sort of like eating pizza on funnel cake. But the Keste pizza, the one above with prosciutto, is superior. Truly delicious.
We also tried a sandwich: grilled chicken, avocado, arugula with lemon dressing.

Just lovely. Light. Well balanced. Fresh. We loved it.
