We’d had enough. The ceiling fan that we installed when we moved into the house in 2002 just wasn’t giving us enough light.
Every winter, especially, we’d squint to see what was bubbling on the stove.
And then, to top it off, one evening, I touched the globe that covered the lightbulbs, and it dropped to the kitchen floor and shattered in a million pieces. That was scary.
After the initial fright, though, we were left with a frightful look. A bare bulb hanging off a ceiling fan.
First things first: a new globe.
Then, a lovely string of lights points around the kitchen.
