We did a quiet Easter at home this year, just the family.
Sam asked to have her breakfast on the deviled egg platter. Why not?
Church, in all its splendor:
Samantha in all her splendor:
As soon as we got home, we found the basket that the Easter bunny hid on the porch:
The table, set with SCF daffodils:
Grammy and LeighLo, in the living room.
Deviled eggs:
LeighLo and Grammy!
A beautiful, beautiful smoked ham from Kiernan Farms. We didn’t even season it with salt and pepper and it was the best ham we’ve ever tasted!
Grammy’s Lemon Meringue Pie:
Place setting. I love using our wedding china!
Now we’re heading out for the real egg hunt:
I seem to remember from last year’s egg hunt that the Easter bunny is a tough cookie! He makes it really hard to find those eggs.
Back inside, candles lit:
Asparagus and ham (and freshly squeezed OJ!):
New lights:
Easter lunch. Ham, pineapple bake, asparagus with lemon-panko and scrambled eggs with herbs:
Place settings by Samantha!
And afterwards, a walk around the neighborhood led to a serendipitous stop for play with Nina and Otis at Nina’s house!
The haul!
What a lovely Easter.
