A new little pastry shop and espresso bar opened in New Rochelle last year. It’s been all over — literally all over — my Instagram feed. So when Megan and I went to New Rochelle to record our podcast at The Wooden Spoon, we had to stop here afterward and see what all the fuss was about.
It’s cute, with a nice display case and good pastry, including a Dannoli — a doughnut filled with cannoli cream (really).
But my favorite discovery at the place was a new coffee drink called the Cortado. I describe it in full over on lohud, but a quick recap: it’s an espresso with just a little warm milk. Perfect!
