The lohudfood team — that is, Megan and I — have started a podcast. We started it out in the office, but we found out quickly that the show is much more interesting if we record it at a local restaurant. Today, that restaurant is The Wooden Spoon in New Rochelle.
It’s the kind of restaurant, as Megan mentions on the podcast, that, were it in the East Village, would be packed — with a line out the door — every night.
It serves comfort food, mostly, like burgers and pot pies. And these outrageous fried chicken and waffles.

All in all a delicious — if quite filling! — lunch. And a good podcast, to boot.
