Dinner with the Destinate crew and Founding Farmers in Tysons. We picked a great one. What else would you expect from a group of food writers!
What a beautiful bar! And here’s half of our crew. Unfortunately, I missed out on snapping the other half.
Manhattan:
And on to supper. A wonderful sweet-salty crostini with figs and proscuitto:
The. Best. Biscuits. EVER. And all the accoutrements were perfect. Three different hams, butter, chutney, jam. Heavenly butter.
My shrimp and grits. Very good! A little more other items in the dish than I expected, but it worked! Rich, sweet, creamy.
Annette’s scallop risotto. Not the most successful risotto in the world, but she loved it and that’s what matters!
Here’s what you get at Founding Farmers. Chicken and doughnuts. No kidding. It’s called Spicy Fried Chicken and Jefferson Donut. It comes with mac and cheese. And it’s fabulous.
Definitely the place to go when visiting Tysons.
