Thought to be the best restaurant in Passaic County, Viaggio is an unlikely destination in a strip mall off the Hamburg Turnpike. Despite its outwardly appearance, though, the dining room is rustic and comfortable, and the food is top notch.
Fried cauliflower with romesco and lemon. Delicious, though could have been crispier.
Prosciutto and peppers. Lovely.
Linguine with clams and house-cured pancetta. Luscious.
Salmon with greens. Crispy skin, silky fish.
We did not order dessert, but they sent out a little gelato, and it was creamy and rich. This restaurant is a keeper.
