The plan was to go to the Liberty Science Center to see the eclipse, and participate in a few of the activities they had organized to along with that. That plan was a bust. Lots of other people had the same plan. But we made the best of it, and got to see the eclipse and the New York City skyline at the same time.
First, lunch! The Brownstone Diner & Pancake Factory in Jersey City:
Then, after 45 minutes of traffic wherein we basically drove around the Liberty Science Center and said “no freakin’ way,” we headed to Liberty State Park:
And we watched the eclipse through the special glasses.
