Boqueria in Manhattan

A long wait for a table — we did not have a reservation, and for a party of 6, tables are hard to come by during Sunday brunch — proved more than worth it. Our lunch at Boqueria was a big hit.

Cathy, before the wait took its toll on our patience:

Doing some drawing while we wait.

Not sure what the pinky swear was about but it sure is cute:

Patatas bravas, fried potatoes with aioli:

A lovely cheese and charcuterie board with pan con tomate:

Loaded table:

Huevos con Chorizo (Chorizo, fried eggs, french fries, Manchego cheese, salsa verde):

Revuelto de Gambas (Soft scramble of shrimp, Guindilla peppers, fillone toast, served with mixed greens and Patatas Bravas):

I somehow neglected to photograph Sam’s Albóndigas (Colorado lamb meatballs, tomato sauce, sheep’s milk cheese), but they were very good.

Busy restaurant!

Our gang: Sheri, McKinley, Cathy, Katie and Sam:

And, as we head back to the car, Sam gets her first NYC taxi ride:
