Passover Seder

I am always so honored to be included in Irene’s Passover Seder. It’s become an occasional spring ritual, and I look forward to the reflection, the company, and, let’s be honest, most of all, the food.

The guest list is large enough that Irene needs two tables.

Kris and Tom, across from us.

Bubbly!

Why is this night different from all other nights?

Reading the Haggadah.

Gefilte fish. Impossibly light and delicious.

Matzo ball soup. Irene is a master at this.

Loved the Kosher rose!

Irene’s incredible brisket:

Burns family fun.

Roasted vegetables.

Kugel:

Roasted asparagus and mushrooms.

Various pickles.

Celery salad.

Irene explains the “hide the matzo” game to Sam and Apolline.

My plate of goodness.

Guess who found the matzo.

Prezzies for all.

Time for dessert!

This is Andrea’s Matzo Crack. And it is.

A green tea layer cake. Divine!
