Spoon and Stable in the Warehouse District has everything going for it: a beautiful soaring space in an old industrial building, a great cocktail program, a world-class chef and absolutely delicious food. Plus, we were able to enjoy all that while our six-year-old was treated like royalty. Our dinner there is one of my favorite meals of the year.
Big dining room and open kitchen.
Beautiful wine storage.
My Southside. Super!
I don’t remember Greg’s cocktail, but also terrific.
We found something Samantha was into: French fries!
We sat in the bar area.
This was incredible. Uni and scallops with delicate herbs.
Look how pretty.
Wild mushroom soup with smoked sturgeon, preserved mushroom, tarragon and oyster cracker.
Dry-aged duck breast with braised turnips, shelling beans, sorghum and sansho pepper.
I even had red wine with it. Rare for me.
Alsakan Halibut with white asparagus, barley cous cous, raspeberry coulis and pea shoots.
Yum.
Delicious chocolate dessert.
You know those spots when you say, wow, it would be cool to sit there and watch a snow storm roll in. Guess what. Today is that day.
What a great meal.
