Another super meal at Viaggio in Wayne. I can never not get the breasola, and it lived up to past billings. But the new star of the show was the calamari.
Oh, this calamari! The photo does not do it justice.
Fried to a crisp, and served with pickled onions and chilis, sitting on top of a rich, delectable lemon-butter sauce. It was divine.
So was the rest of the meal. Bolognese, which I also love, was just the ticket for the chilly afternoon.
And, for the first time, I tried the pork sausage over polenta. A splurge for me, to be sure, and well worth it.
I can’t wait until the chef, Robbie Felice, opens closer to home. A Westwood restaurant is coming in 2019.
