We celebrated in the traditional way, by attending the early Christmas Eve service and dining at Sondra and Leigh’s afterward. We had oysters — Pemaquids, this time, from a great mail-order company we just discovered called Real Oyster Cult — a big rib roast, cauliflower puree and Brussels sprouts with maple syrup and pecans. Boo joined us this year, as did Alice and John. Sue, unfortunately, was under the weather. It was a delicious meal with old friends, engaging conversation and a lot of laughs.
