Megan had a a spur of the moment idea for a party, and those always seem to be the best, don’t they? Pot luck. One theme: Tropical. As in, make a dish that comes from a place that’s warm. The results were glorious.
It was a glorious day all around, actually. A lazy morning by the fire, deciding what to make.
Sam Sifton’s Chicken Shawarma won out in the end.
I enjoyed a glass of red while making it.

Yes, the food was terrific. But so was the party.
Megan also organized a round of Outburst, which was outrageously fun.
Even the kids had a blast.
After Outburst, dessert. And man was that delicious too. Yes, I had some.
And then, just as we were saying our goodbyes, the dancing started.
Next morning, Megan posted a thank you. No, we thank you!
