Joe and Joe in Nyack

We finally got around to trying this new Italian spot in downtown Nyack. The owners have been around Rockland for years, running the terrific red sauce joint of the same name in Pearl River. (See our trip to Joe & Joe in Pearl River in 2014 in this post here.)

The restaurant is big and airy with a pizza oven at its heart. I like the marble bar.

It’s not, however, a wood-fired oven, even though it was billed as such. Odd.

Our starters included kale salad and calamari. Well done.

We shared several pizzas, including one with a cauliflower crust. (That was Kelli’s favorite.)

All in all, a good meal. The cauliflower crust was the crispest. The sausage with egg pizza was delicious. Everyone also liked the margarita.

We’ll be back.
