Holy Roller in Austin

Laid-back vibe, 70s decor, great food. What’s not to like? Oh, and add the fact that the restaurant is run by women, and you’ve got yourself a real winner.

Dig the crown.

On the website, they say they are “inspired by the spirit of punk rock with a hint of religious kitchen,” and they put out “nostalgic food with a bit of whimsey.” Indeed.

Ready for pancakes.

Delicious pancakes with berries and whipped cream. To. Die. For.

Killer biscuits with pimento cheese, chow chow and bacon jam.

The biscuits were pull-apart.

Steak and eggs. With ranchero sauce, avocado, cilantro and cotija.

Delicious.

As I mentioned, the restaurant is run entirely by women.

Highly recommend a meal here. I’ll be back.
